The Eternal Gospel (Revelation 14:6-7)
Yesterday I continued my summer series on the gospel, going to the very last place in the Bible where the word gospel is used: Revelation 14:6.
I think there is good reason to start a series on the gospel with this passage---actually, I began with Romans 1:16-17---but in terms of doing a 'biblical theology' of the gospel, Revelation 14:6 makes an interesting and important contribution because it affirms the unchanging yet unfolding nature of the gospel; it reiterates the universal scope of the gospel; and it sets the diamond of grace and mercy in the prongs of God's holy wrath.
Give it a listen. Let me know what you think.
Soli Deo Gloria, dss
